Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, the dreaded holiday work party… It’s all an ever-changing experience. Staying ahead of the curve by anticipating what your guests may need in order to walk out of the doors giddy and raving about YOUR gathering can be a lot to take on. The 2020 pandemic taught us that the way we gather has to be fluid, yet intentional. Here’s what we have added to our party planning kit that has worked for us. Hybrid events are a must
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of hybrid events, and it’s likely that this trend will continue in 2024. But this doesn’t mean we should just be setting up a camera, logging into Zoom, and letting all of the remote attendees watch the party happen. Cuzzz, That’s Weird! – whoever started that must be stopped!
Hybrid events can look like giving people more than just one way to show up. If it’s your birthday or a non-profit gala, consider hosting an online giving opportunity. Not everyone wants to be in each other’s faces, but still want to show the host that they appreciate the invitation. Are there games and announcements that can be played online? Start your baby shower with an Instagram live asking your guests to guess the gender, log off, enjoy the party, then share the big news after! These adjustments allow us to get creative about supporting friends and family near and far. As our global community expands, the way we gather has to keep up.
Sustainability
As environmental consciousness grows, there will be an increased focus on sustainability in event planning. Expect to see more eco-friendly practices focused on reducing waste, using renewable energy sources, and choosing sustainable event venues.

Personalization
Was it the Starbucks cup naming that started this or the monogram tote bags? Everyone wants to walk away with something that is their own! From seating name cards, meals curated for guest’s taste buds, and favors that say “I was there!” We want to see ourselves in the places we go. Our secret? Photo booths! We have watched our guests light up from having a print out of themselves, their crew, and in some amazing lighting! Bonus points if the host upgrades to a filter for each photo booth snapshot!
Safety and Security
I hate to say it, but it is a jungle out there! It’s hard to go from work, to the grocery store, and back home without feeling like you had to watch your back like the country’s number one CIA agent! People want to “be outside” as they say, but safely. Give your guest’s peace of mind while partying. We implement strict safety measures, contingency plans, and crisis management protocols to ensure all attendee well-being.
We LOVE a good party! Especially, when it is clear that the planners and hosts were intentional about every detail.
